Sharath Chandra Mallojjala grew up in Hyderabad, India. He obtained his undergraduate degree in the sciences from IISER-Pune in 2015 with an emphasis on Chemistry and Physics, where his research was focussed on the synthesis of natural product analogues and medicinal chemistry in the lab of Dr Harinath Chakrapani. He joined the Wheeler Group at Texas A&M in the Fall of 2015 and subsequently transferred to the Center for Computational Quantum Chemistry (CCQC) at the University of Georgia (UGA) in 2017. His current research interests include understanding organocatalyzed and metal-catalyzed reactions.
