Professor and Graduate Coordinator
Education:
  • Postdoc National Institutes of Health 2009-2011
  • Postdoc Stanford University 2008-2009
  • Ph.D. Brown University 2004-2008
  • B.S. Nanjing University 1999-2003
Research Interests:

The Xie Lab focuses on pioneering nanoparticle-based approaches for cancer imaging and therapy. Our recent research areas include salt nanoparticle therapeutics, nanoparticle stimulators to enhance immunotherapy, nanoparticle-based radiosensitizers, X-ray induced photodynamic therapy, and cell-based drug delivery. Dr. Xie has received numerous awards, including the NSF CAREER Award, NIH Pathway to Independence Award, DoD Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program Idea Award, Nano Research Young Innovator Award in Nanobiotechnology, and the NIBIB Outstanding Researcher Award. He also serves as Deputy Editor for the Journal of Nanobiotechnology.
